I wanted to mention that Michael Sheen who played Lucian, the lead werewolf in the popular Underworld movies will be playing the lead vampire role in The Volturi. This is a switch of teams per say… Can we say Team Jacob to Team Edward?

Eclipse Director Hired

Summit Entertainment hires David Slade to direct the movie The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, from the third book in the series The Twilight Saga. Melissa Rosenberg has been kept on for the screen play for all three movies. Eclipse will be released on Wednesday, June 30, 2010. Stephenie Meyer, the author of The Twilight Saga, is thrilled to have David Slade direct Eclipse. 

Personally, I think it is great that they are not making us wait an entire year to see Eclipse after New Moon comes out this fall 2009. Great job Summit Entertainment!

Twilight Mania

The craze of Twilight heightened as the movie came out on DVD. Fans flocked to DVD release parties around the country making Twilight one of the top five best selling DVDs in the past two years. More notable facts, Twilight sold over 3 million DVDs on the first day alone, March 21, 2009 and Box Office sales totaled $380 million worldwide. Twilight Party Coverage

Where did everyone go for their Twilight Party? Hot Topic, Borders or somewhere else? Did you win anything? I went to Borders for their Midnight Release Party, they played Vampire Baseball. The winner received 1st place in line at midnight to purchase their DVD! Borders had someone there to do numerology, based on your birth date you could be one of the characters. My numerology said I am Bella! Borders also had a craft table to make your own flair, I made my own pin that said I was for Team Edward! Then they did the Twilight Movie Awards, the award that sticks out the most in my mind is Victoria winning “Best Hair,” I honestly thought that should have gone to Edward! After getting my Special Edition, Borders Exclusive DVD I went home and watched it right away and looked at my 10 sparkly photo cards! They really sparkle in the sun! I love the ivy cover on the the DVD case too.

Borders Facebook Group

Borders has a Facebook group for the Twilight DVD Midnight Release Party! I just confirmed I am attending. There will be trivia and winners from the Twilight Movie Awards! All this before the stroke of midnight. Make sure you get to Borders early to get your wrist band to hold your spot in line for midnight! They also suggest dressing up in your Twilight clothes! Twilight DVD Release Party at Hot Topic

Have you pre-ordered your Twilight DVD yet? If not, there is still time. Hot Topic is doing some special things tomorrow night at their release party. In order to attend a Hot Topic Party you need to pre-order your DVD at the store that is having a release party and then they give you a special invite to come back to the party at midnight. I hear they are doing some special things like contests for Team Jacob fans and Team Edward fans!

Twilight DVD Release Party at Borders!

Tomorrow is the Borders Twilight DVD Release Party! It starts at 10 p.m. If you didn’t already pre-order your DVD in advance you can show up early and they will give you a wristband that guarantees you will get a copy of the movie at midnight. Don’t forget to print out your Twilight Movie Awards Ballot as this is guaranteed to bring the fun to the party. Borders is selling the Borders-Exclusive Edition and the Regular Edition. I can’t wait to see what Twilight merchandise they have out tomorrow night!

Twilight Board Game

I came across the Twilight section in Walmart tonight and found this Twilight Board Game! This game is full of trivia from the movie meant for ages 10 and up, and for 2 to 8 players. This is guaranteed fun for Friday night before you head out to Hot Topic or Boarders for your Midnight Release Party.

Twilight Director’s Notebook

Catherine Hardwicke’s Twilight Director’s Notebook was released today! This cute little book is filled with notes, sketches and pictures. There are so many little things that you will learn about this movie in the notebook, from the weather to the kissing scene to just silly things. A blast to read. The perfect addition to The Twilight Saga. What do you think of the Notebook?

Team Edward

Edward was so loved in the Twilight book and movie. In New Moon, I was absolutely shocked that Edward could leave Bella and could not wait to finish the book to make sure Bella and Edward would still be together in the end. How did you feel when Edward left Bella and how did you feel about the ending of New Moon?
